Born in Brasilia, Brazil in 1967, Fernando Carpaneda has quickly made a name for himself as a master of the sacred and intimate. He has developed an extensive body of work from hyperrealistic paintings to miniature sculptures, with a particular focus on the sanctity of the nude male form. His work has been exhibited in many acclaimed institutions such as the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art, The Heckscher Museum, The Long Island Museum, Arkell Museum, and The Tom of Finland Foundation, and his painting Pride is a landmark queer inclusion in the Permanent Collection of the Presidency of Brazil.Condition
