Exhibition history: Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London, 1986 (No. 1307)
Provenance: Purchased directly from the artist and kept in the family collection in London; thence passed by inheritance to the present owner in San Antonio, Texas
Note: this lot includes letter from the artist (on letterhead from Mitchell's foundry, Bruno Bronze) and a period photograph of this piece at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London, 1986
