Antique Peruvian Shipibo-Conibo figural pottery vessel with hand-painted geometric designs, and distinguished face, circa late 19th to early 20th century
height 11 in. x diameter 13 in.
Provenance: The Estate collection of late teacher and humanitarian Douglas Rhodenbaugh, from his historic downtown Austin, Texas home. Mr. Rhodenbaugh spent decades traveling throughout Latin America assuming his vast collection of folk and fine arts, often buying pieces directly from the artisans he met on his travels.
