Model: 1873 (Third Model)
Caliber: 32 WCF
Barrel length: 24 in.
OAL: 43.5 in.
Condition: Good-Antique; wood stock & forend have moderate wear & dark patina; barrel has been reblued and retains most of the refinish w/ some light rust & wear around muzzle; magazine tube has plum patina w/ a good dent near the barrel lug, also large scrape near muzzle end of the tube; receiver has a gray/brown patina w/ some blue remaining in protected areas; light scattered rust/pitting; bore remains bright w/ very light pitting; lightly worn rifling; mechanically good; slightly stiff action
Includes: Letter from Cody Firearms Museum shipping it on January 09, 1883, to an unlisted address and was sent in for repairs in 1909;Â factory special order half octagon/half round barrel; no butt compartment; rear buckhorn sights
Provenance: Property from the collection of the late Marshall E. Kuykendall, of the former 101 Ranch in Hays County.
