Barrel length: 20 in.
OAL: 39.25 in.
Condition: Good; wood stock & forend have moderate wear & patina; gouge in right side of wrist; repairs on either side of forend near forend cap; barrel & receiver have a gray/brown patina w/ light scattered rust/pitting; magazine tube retains some bluing in protected areas; bore retains some brightness, but has scattered pitting & wear to the rifling; mechanically very good w/ smooth actionÂ
Includes: Letter from Cody Firearms Museum shipping it to Grossman & Slelcken in New York, NY on October 27, 1911; nice wood in forend; factory 20-inch octagonal barrel; no cleaning rod in butt compartment; rear buckhorn sightsÂ
Marked: barrel address is marked on left barrel slant
Provenance: Property from the collection of the late Marshall E. Kuykendall, of the former 101 Ranch in Hays County.
