In 1985, Glenn Olson left a teaching career to become a full-time wildlife artist. His childhood was spent on a ranch in Saskatchewan, Canada, and he showed early artistic talent as well as interest in animals. He received his education at the University of Saskatchewan and then taught junior high school in Alberta. Olson is known for depicting unlikely species together in his highly detailed, hyper-realistic acrylic compositions.
