Jerry Greenberg (Texas, b. 1946), flowering prickly pear cactus among wildflowers, oil on canvas, signed lower right
sight: 16 x 20 in., frame: 22 x 21 in.
Provenance: Property from a Houston, Texas collection
Having worked as an advertising executive, film producer and director, and insurance executive, Jerry Greenberg became a full-time landscape painter. He has studied with David Caton and taken workshops from Michael Lynch, Scott Christensen, Clyde Aspevig, and Quang Ho. For much of his painting career, he used oils but switched to pastels because he liked the way he could express himself. A resident of Houston, Greenberg travels widely in the West and Southwest, painting from photographic references taken on his travels.
