Pair of vintage hand-made and painted Mexican Talavera jars with lids, and ribbon handles, signed with "Santa Rosa, Guanajuato, Mexico" abbreviation on bottom, circa 20th century
height 16 in. x width 8 in. x depth 6 in.
Provenance: The Estate collection of late teacher and humanitarian Douglas Rhodenbaugh, from his historic downtown Austin, Texas home. Mr. Rhodenbaugh spent decades traveling throughout Latin America assuming his vast collection of folk and fine arts, often buying pieces directly from the artisans he met on his travels.
