Peter Hohnstedt painted stunning landscapes and coastal scenes in an impressionistic style, capturing the twisting oaks, cypress and hillsides of the Texas Hill Country. As a young artist, Hohnstedt studied and painted with Frank Duveneck and Clarence Miller. Hohnstedt exhibited at the Witte Museum in 1929, winning two awards for his work.
