T.D. Kelsey is a self-taught sculptor who left his career as a United Airlines pilot in 1979 to pursue sculpting full time. In October 2004, he was elected to the Cowboy Artists of America and is also a fellow member of the National Sculpture Society. He was the Honored Guest Artist at the 2003 C.M. Russell Show & Auction and was honored with one-man shows at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum and the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum. His work was also selected for the Master Works of American Sculpture exhibition and is on permanent display at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Kelsey has completed numerous monumental public and private commissions, including works for the St. Louis Zoo, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, and other major institutions and public sites.
