Vintage metal wax vat, with basin on stand, used to boil hand-gathered Candelilla plant to extract raw wax from plant stems, which would later yield raw wax to be refined and purified
height 45 in. x width 83 in. x depth 44 in.
Provenance: Property from a home in Boerne, Texas, but originally used at a primitive wax camp along the rugged Big Bend/Mexico border
