William Beetham (England, fl.1834-1853), inscribed on the verso, "Portrait of the Infant Daughter of Capt. Reynolds", oil on panel, in exquisite hand carved and gilt frame by Edward F. Watson (label retained on the verso with his London address at St. James's Gallery of Art, 201 Piccadilly), a respected "picture dealer and picture restorer, artist, carver and gilder" (source: National Portrait Gallery, UK)
