- Lot Description
The stoneware jardiniere is finely decorated in pate-sur-pate, encircling the body with a delightful rural landscape. One side features a dog and two children amid tall grasses, one child flying a kite, while the reverse depicts a lively procession of animals including horses, a donkey, and ducks. The stippled buff ground is elegantly contrasted by dark brown and cobalt blue glazed borders at the base, divided by an impressed geometric band. The underside bears impressed Doulton Lambeth marks, the date stamp 1884, and artists' incised monograms.

10. Shipping and/or pick-up of each lot item is ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser. Import restrictions from foreign countries are subject to these same governing laws and CITES regulations. Granting of licensing for import or export of goods from local authorities is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
