Evelyn E (21st Century). Acrylic on stretched canvas. This contemporary abstract painting features a stylized and geometricized human figure, drawing inspiration from modernist and cubist traditions. The work is characterized by bold, heavy black outlines that define the figure against a background of muted ocher, gray, and pale blue tones. Brushwork is visible and varied, ranging from broad, flat applications to scumbled textures that expose the weave of the canvas support. Signed and dated Evelyn E 2022 in black script in the lower right corner. The piece is currently unframed on a standard stretched canvas.
