- Lot Description
This crayon transfer lithograph, titled Dans la Glu, is by the French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The work is printed in black on laid paper and depicts a profile portrait of the singer and actress Yvette Guilbert in a Post-Impressionist style with expressive, gestural line work. This impression is from the 1898 first edition of 350 published by Bliss, Sands and Co., London. The work is housed in an elaborate wide frame with a dark wood finish and ornate champagne-colored scrolling borders, featuring a triple mat. The verso is sealed with a black dust cover and bears a contemporary identification label. This lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and a 2023 appraisal from Park West Gallery.

10. Shipping and/or pick-up of each lot item is ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser. Some property that is sold at auction can be subject to laws governing export from the U.S., such as items that include material from some endangered species and subject to CITES regulations. Import restrictions from foreign countries are subject to these same governing laws and CITES regulations. Granting of licensing for import or export of goods from local authorities is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Denial or delay of licensing will not constitute cancellation or delay in payment for the total purchase price of these lots.
