- Lot Description
A tall art pottery vase decorated with large, richly glazed red poppies and green leaves against a deep, lustrous brown ground. The cylindrical form tapers slightly toward the base and rises to a rounded collar rim. The decoration appears hand-painted beneath a glossy overglaze, with colors blending in characteristic early 20th-century art pottery style. The underside shows age-appropriate crazing and an impressed circular mark, now obscured by wear, with applied green felt pads. This piece is stylistically reminiscent of the work produced by Owens Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio, particularly their Lotus and Utopian lines, which often featured naturalistic floral motifs beneath a rich brown glaze. While the vase is not signed, the decoration, glaze, and form suggest possible Owens attribution.

Import restrictions from foreign countries are subject to these same governing laws and CITES regulations. Granting of licensing for import or export of goods from local authorities is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Denial or delay of licensing will not constitute cancellation or delay in payment for the total purchase price of these lots.
