Introduced in 1979, the Gold Maple Leaf is among the world’s most respected bullion issues, prized for its exceptional purity and iconic maple leaf reverse. The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt with a face value of 50 dollars, while the reverse features Canada’s national emblem, the sugar maple leaf.
