Henry George Keller was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and had a forty-year career as a teacher at the Cleveland School of Art. Keller was primarily known for his watercolor paintings. In his paintings he experimented in techniques of mixed media painting including watercolor, tempera, and gouache. He was influenced by Frederick Gottwald, another Cleveland School painter
