May Antique & Vintage Quilt Auction
The sale features an extraordinary collection of works by Fayette County, Pennsylvania quiltmakers Ethel Clement and her daughter, Genevieve Odom. The centerpiece of the auction is Ethel Clement’s Petit Point Flower Basket Quilt, composed of over 70,000 individual hand-pieced half-square triangles, created between 1954 and 1959. The Quilt Collection of The Bobbie Aug Estate
This auction features the quilt and textile collection of the Estate of noted author, quilt historian, and a co-founding member of the AQS Quilt Appraisal Certification Program. Bobbie was a long time collector and quilter, and part owner of a quilt shop decades ago. Many of her quilts were published in her books. This collection includes antique and vintage quilts, quilt tops, quilt blocks, and fabrics including toiles and chintz, many used her lectures and personal research. Also included are quilts and tops spanning from the 1980s to 2010s, by Bobbie and her friends.
