Crafted Auctions presents a sweeping panorama of style, technique, and provenance — from early 20th-century art pottery to mid-century decorative statements — each lot telling a story in glaze, form, and artistic vision.

Whether you are a seasoned collector or an emerging enthusiast, this sale invites you to explore, compete, and acquire. Expect exemplar works by celebrated makers, rare editions, and stand-alone showpieces that anchor any collection.

  Highlights & Featured Makers

Among the many treasures in this catalog, several names and works demand special attention:

  • Van Briggle & Weller — Elegant matte-glazed and luster pieces in the Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts tradition.

  • Roseville “Futura” and other Art Deco lines — sleek forms, bold curves, and daring glazes that define the 1920s aesthetic.

  • Newcomb College pottery — botanical motifs and soft matte surfaces, exemplary of early American studio pottery.

  • Tiffany / decorative glass & accent pieces — where art glass meets functional beauty.

  • Mid-Century Modern & studio works — bridging tradition and experimentation in form, glaze, and silhouette.

Across the sale, lots are presented with clear condition notes, provenance when known, and high-resolution photography to assist bidders in careful evaluation.

TERMS OF SALE

Each lot in the auction and/or catalog is subject to the following terms and conditions of sale, as supplemented in writing or otherwise by us at any time before the sale. By registering to bid, bidding, or purchasing in any way a lot from Just Art Pottery, the client agrees to be bound by these terms.

Auction

The auctioneer will introduce each object for sale, hereby referred to as “lots”, in numerical order as listed in the corresponding catalog or website.

The estimates that appear with each lot description are approximations reflecting the range in which the hammer price may fall. Some lots are subject to a reserve, the price below which an item cannot be sold. In most instances, the reserve is less than the low estimate.

The auctioneer determines the highest bidder and selling price of every lot. He or she may re-offer and resell any lot and will be responsible for resolving any dispute in bidding. The judgment of the auctioneer is final and binding.

Bidding

To bid in an auction, you must create an account with us and register for that auction. This account is different from your JustArtPottery.com retail website account. But, once you have an auction bidding account with us, you will only need to register for each future auction in which you plan to bid. You may register for and participate in any auction as soon as the auction goes live on our Site.

A client unable to attend the sale may bid via phone, absentee, or online. Please complete and submit an absentee or telephone bid form on our website, or at the auction house.

Just Art Pottery assumes no responsibility for a failure to execute any bid or errors or omissions made in connection with any remote bidding arrangement.

During phone bidding, an agent representing Just Art Pottery will call the client during the live sale to execute bids on client’s behalf. The client should instruct Just Art Pottery’s agent to bid as they choose. Please make arrangements for phone bidding as early as possible as there are a limited number of phone lines available. Just Art Pottery does not guarantee an available phone line if arrangements are made after 5:00pm CST on the day prior to a sale.

Clients may leave absentee bids to be executed by one of our representatives. Just Art Pottery makes every effort to purchase a lot as inexpensively as possible without exceeding the client’s limit. Please submit absentee bids prior to 5:00pm CST on the day prior to the sale.

Internet bidding is available through online platforms. Just Art Pottery is not responsible for errors or omissions when client utilizes said platform.
