  Nature Is everywhere, but we can not get there. Mary Ann Strandell’s work examines the intersection of nature and technology in our participation in culture. Through combining a gamut of places and objects as content markers, from canyon sites and trees to architecture and museums objects, these subjects are explored with the craft of drawing, painting, and working in 3D lenticular media. The works are singular paintings and evolve into complex software-based montages, translating hand-drawn images into media-ready algorithms to be hand fabricated with optical-lens transmissions.
  
  This lenticular series Bamboo Hybrid Pink is a patterned algorithmic landscape layered with imagery painted at the Rio Grande, the Rio Taos, peach trees, and mapping systems.

• Shipping Info

  • The purchaser of this piece will be responsible for making an appointment to pick up the item in-person from 516 ARTS or pay for the packaging and shipment via the method of their choice.
    
    Winning items will be available after Wednesday, October 6, 2021 for in-person pick up at 516 ARTS by scheduled appointment.
    
    Buyers will be contacted the week following the auction to discuss pick-up or shipping arrangements. The buyer is responsible for all shipping and packaging costs.
    
    516 ARTS does not provide in-house shipping; we will make arrangements through our local shipper.
