- Lot Description
the complete set of ten reproduction color woodblock prints after the first Hiroshige's "Ten VIews of Kyoto", published by Uchida Woodblock Printing Co., Kyoto, Edited by Tomikichiro Tokoriki, 1951, with cover and with printed tirage pasted to interior of rear board; each sheet: 10 1/4 x 15 1/2 in., cover: 13 1/2 x 18; together with a color woodblock print by Eikyu Matsuoka (1881-1938), "Island Sea", Sheet: 9 3/4 x 13 1/4 in.
Condition
Seven Hiroshigi prints hinged to mount. Three detached from mount and with nicks to edges. Five with original mat. The cover with foxing to flaps and tears to spine. The Matsuoka unmounted and with a nick to lower right-hand edge. Please note that the absence of a condition report does not indicate that the lot is in perfect condition. All lots are sold as is. Bidders are responsible for requesting additional information prior to placing bids.
