• Lot Description

  Hand-coiled pottery vessel of globular form with a slightly constricted neck and flared, undulating rim. The surface is highly burnished and fired to a deep black, consistent with traditional reduction firing techniques associated with Pueblo pottery. The form is simple and utilitarian, with subtle irregularities indicative of hand construction.

  The underside bears a paper label reading “Santa Clara date 1900” and an additional sticker marked “Museum Piece,” though these are not considered definitive authentication.

  Dimensions: 5.5 in. height x 6 in. width

  This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $55.00.   Condition

  The vessel shows light surface wear, minor abrasions, two chips underside,  and a small 1/16” puncture to the body.
