Coin-swords or cash-swords, are a Chinese feng shui talisman that were primarily used in southern China to ward off evil spirits and malicious influences, especially those inducing fever. They are also often used in Taoist rituals. This example has 32 coins for the blade and 60 coins total. There is also a dangleing ball hanging from the pommel made of an additional 12 coins.
