Ryan and paper manufacturing labels, including a size 7 marking and a depth of 5 1/4, and guarantee label for Frank Schoble & Co., Philadelphia. The combination of retailer and manufacturer labels reflects period American hat production supplied through urban outfitters.

The interior is in poor condition, with the liner missing or largely deteriorated; surviving paper labels are fragmentary, torn, and brittle. The sweatband is no longer present. Structurally intact but fragile, with notable age-related degradation throughout.
