- Lot Description
Large Northwest Coast imbricated bear grass basket, of tall, tapering cylindrical form, executed in coiled construction with finely worked imbricated decoration in natural and dark-dyed tones. The exterior features bold geometric motifs composed of intersecting linear and stepped elements, arranged in a continuous band encircling the body. The weaving is tight and consistent, with well-defined patterning and a smoothly finished rim.

Condition
Overall good condition with stable structure. Minor surface wear, light abrasions, and scattered areas of slight imbrication lifting and fraying consistent with age. Small areas of stitch wear and fiber separation noted. Rim intact with minor wear. No apparent major losses or restorations.
