Native American coiled basket bowl, likely California, possibly Pomo or a related group, 20th century. Of low, wide form with a central opening and gently rounded sides, the basket is finely constructed in tightly woven natural fibers. The surface displays a repeating geometric motif in dark brown against a tan ground, executed with consistent, even stitching. The form and weave are characteristic of California basketry traditions, with careful attention to symmetry and finish.
Dimensions: 6.75” Wide. 2.25” High.

Overall good condition with age-appropriate wear. The basket retains a stable and well-formed structure with tight, consistent coiling throughout. There is light surface soiling and handling wear, along with even darkening consistent with age and use. The rim shows wear and minor irregularity, including a visible break measuring approximately 1/4 inch in length, with slight separation at that point. No major losses are observed beyond this area. The interior shows typical wear but remains intact. No evidence of major repairs or structural instability noted.
