Sectional barrister bookcase by Macey, identified by interior lithograph labels reading “Macey 910, Finish 9.” Constructed in five stackable sections, including four glazed-front bookcase tiers over a lower drawer base. Executed in quartered oak with a warm “golden” factory finish, consistent with Macey’s early 20th-century production.
Each section retains its original lift-up sliding glass door, all panes present and intact. The doors are framed within molded fronts and operate within the typical barrister-style track system. The case is further reinforced at the sides with dark metal strap hardware, contributing both structural support and a distinctive visual element. Interior markings noting “Sectional Bookcase… Quartered Oak Golden” correspond with known Macey manufacturing designations.
The base includes a single full-width drawer with wooden pulls. Overall height approximately 60 inches (5 feet). The modular design reflects early 20th-century office and library furniture intended for durability and expansion.
