Established by William Newton Porter in Phoenix in 1895, the N. Porter Saddle and Harness Company was a world famous producer of excellent quality hand tooled saddles and leather goods. It was widely known as the “West’s most western store” in downtown Phoenix where it operated until its closein the 1960s.
This particular pair of chaps by the N. Porter Company is of a ‘batwing’ western design with brass daisy conchos.

Good/Very Good. Leather has been well cared for and chaps are clean and ready for use. Each of the chaps have small pierced holes in the same sections, which appear to be from conchos or decorations that were removed in the past.
