Southwest Native American coiled basket bowl of rounded form with gently flaring sides and flat base. Woven in natural fiber with dark brown geometric banding and stepped motifs, the design continuing into the interior. Finished with a braided rim. The heavier coiling and patterning are consistent with Western Apache or related Southwest basketry traditions. Likely early to mid-20th century.

Overall good, stable condition consistent with age and use. The basket retains its form, though there is slight irregularity to the rim and minor distortion to the body. The rim shows areas of wear, including small breaks, fraying, and minor losses to the outer wrapping. Scattered fiber breaks and minor losses are present throughout, particularly along the upper edge and interior. Surface wear, light abrasion, and handling-related discoloration are visible across both interior and exterior. The interior base shows typical use wear and some darkening. No major structural breaks or visible repairs noted.
