• Lot Description

  Large Northwest Coast polychrome imbricated basket, of flared cylindrical form, finely woven in coiled construction with imbricated geometric decoration in light and dark tones encircling the body. The design features repeating stepped and triangular motifs executed in contrasting natural and dyed materials. Well-executed with even weaving and consistent patterning throughout.

  Dimensions: 7.5” H. 10” Wide. 

  This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $55.00. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer acceptsd complete liability in writing.   Condition

  Good. Overall good condition with stable structure. Minor surface wear, light abrasions, and scattered areas of slight imbrication lifting and fraying consistent with age. Small areas of stitch wear and fiber separation noted. Rim intact with minor wear. No apparent major losses or restorations.
