• Lot Description
  With hinged folding sides. fitted on a later stand The tray of outstanding quality timber with an excellent colour and patina .This Butlers Tray table is even more beautiful than the photo. The panelled construction with folding shaped sides , forming an oval when folded. The sides with integral pierced shaped carrying handles/grips. The legs have a tiny fluting detail on the outer corners and the stretchers are rounded on the top. The hinges are more subdued in brightness than the photo which made them look slightly garish. Even the screws in the hinges are lined up with the slots directed towards the center. The finish has a soft polish, the wood a rich color as seen in the photo. The veneer of the top is subtle, contributing to the elegance of the table. English Circa 1800 -1810 Width: 47 inches Depth: 23 inches Height: 20 inches
