Pre-Columbian, El Salvador, Maya, Copador style, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A hand-built and highly-burnished pottery bowl with a round but stable base, flared walls, and a shallow basin. The interior is adorned with bands of red and dark-brown pigment, with a four-section circle in the center, and a register of abstract motifs coursing above. The exterior displays a repeating program of seated human figures leaning forward while presenting offerings. Size: 7.6" W x 2.75" H (19.3 cm x 7 cm).

Repaired from multiple pieces, with small losses and light adhesive residue along break lines. Minor abrasions and nicks to rim, walls, and base, with fading to original pigmentation. Light earthen deposits and manganese blooms throughout.
