Cut reclaimed paper. Carol Flax revived a technique of representational collage that she originally developed in her twenties. She uses recycled magazines, catalogs and calendars) and cuts each piece for a particular shape, and applies with glue in brush-stroke-like patterns, which reference the natural shapes in the landscapes they depict.
