Oil on canvas. Coastal views of the marsh with saturated colors of yellow and green. Softer colors in the sky and sand balance the brighter golden tones. "Denise Zompa paints colorful, contemporary landscapes. Paintings of beaches, marshes and fields invite the viewer to enjoy the beauty of the coast. Living on the cape affords her opportunities to paint Plein Air. Painting outdoors informs studio work on larger paintings which become re-imagined and more abstract. Denise is a retired art educator and has continued her study at RISD, the Newport Art Museum and Cape Cod Art Center. Her work has received awards in national and local exhibitions."
