Acrylic, charcoal and collage on panel. Jackie Reeves is an acclaimed Cape Cod-based multi disciplinary artist working out of the Old Schoolhouse Studios in Barnstable Village. Beginning her career as a professional mural painter, she has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibits throughout New England, as well as Washington, D.C., and North Carolina. Her work explores transformation, collaboration, and the creative process through layered figurative and abstract forms that blur the line between drawing, painting, animation and installation. "For me, collage is a form of visual thinking. Paper can be shifted, layered, and sanded back just like paint, yet it brings its own surprises.
