• Lot Description
  Hand-knotted Bijar runner, the indigo field with an allover design of large palmettes and rosettes among leafy blossoming vine in rust, ivory, gold and green. Madder-red main border of palmettes on a scrolling vine, between ivory guard stripes of meandering flowerheads. Wool pile on a cotton foundation, with fringe at both ends. Persian, ca. 1930's
