• Lot Description
  Ovoid jar with domed cover, entirely carved in deep red lacquer over a core. The body is decorated in high relief with a continuous landscape scene depicting pavilions, rocky outcroppings, trees, and figures amid clouds. Upper shoulder and neck bands carry scrolling ruyi cloud and floral motifs. The cover features matching scrollwork border with butterflies and floral sprigs surrounding a central dome carved with a figural landscape medallion.
