A highly expressive patinated sculpture by Ernest Justin Ferrand, depicting the bust of a bearded man with a large hat, his flowing hair and beard morphing into the form of a nude female figure at the base. A subtle floral motif extends along the back, which features an integrated handle—suggesting this may also function as a symbolic ewer or vessel. Strongly representative of Art Nouveau’s organic and allegorical forms. Signed Ferrand to the reverse and stamped "E. F. Pes" on base.
