A music themed decorated bronze clock with French Empire stylistics, featuring a full bodied musician, lyre positioned on an exquisite table, and a spread eagle perched on a decorated tripod. A four tier clock with decorations on the facia of each tier. Round Japy type movement, striking on the half and full hour. Early silk suspension type, has correct pendulum, but key is nor correct, a #4 is required. Bronze case has unique rose/copper patina, Roman numerals for all chapters with blued Breguet type minute/hour hands.
Condition
Runs on the crutch and chimes correctly. Needs new silk thread, a strip and clean, and most likely a new mainspring. A previous owner used some cement to secure the table instead of tightening the nuts on the studs. Nothing is broken.
