• Lot Description
  Carved pale celadon jade pendant of circular form, the outer ring worked in low relief with scrolling motifs and the recessed central medallion carved with a coiled creature, mounted on a brown braided silk cord with red hardstone beads and suspending a pair of brown tassels with gilt-thread caps.

  Condition

  Good. Light scratches and faint cloudy inclusions to the outer ring. The swivelling central disc of slightly greyer tone with a matte, less-polished surface and rubbing to the shallow incised detail. Cord, beads and tassels are later fittings, the tassels with numerous loose and frizzed threads and uneven ends.
