• Lot Description
  Flatwoven wool kilim in slit-tapestry technique. The madder-red field is worked with an allover lattice of stepped diamond and cross motifs in apricot, indigo, dark brown and ivory, within narrow indigo and brown guard stripes and a stepped red and brown outer border. Brown wool warp fringe at both ends. Persian, ca. 1970's

  Condition

  Flatweave sound throughout, with no splits at the slit joins, holes or repairs. Colors strong. Twisted brown wool warp fringe complete at both ends. Selvages intact. Light surface lint and scattered loose fibers. Very Good.
