• Lot Description
  A traditional Mashad carpet woven with a central medallion set on a red field filled with interconnected floral motifs, palmettes, and vinework arranged in a symmetrical layout. The spandrels echo the form of the medallion and transition into the main borders. The border system includes a wide dark main border with repeating floral groups, flanked by smaller guard borders carrying simpler vine patterns. Persian, ca. 1970's
