• Lot Description
  A group of six plaster and red wax/sulphur intaglio impressions after antique engraved gems, Italian, 19th century, depicting classical figural scenes, mythological subjects (including Pegasus, a recumbent lion, and the Three Graces), and a profile portrait. Four examples mounted in gilt-metal oval frames; two unmounted. Reverses with inked inventory numbers in the manner of Roman intaglio workshops (Paoletti / Cades).

  Condition

  Good, commensurate with age and typical of period Grand Tour intaglio production.
