• Lot Description
  Suzani, silk embroidery in chain and couched stitch on an ivory cotton ground worked in two joined loom widths. The field scattered with flowering plants, leafy botehs and bouquets in orange, rose, blue, olive and brown, centered by an eight-pointed floral rosette and interspersed with small birds; the border of undulating floral vine with rosettes, the outer edge plain hemmed.   Condition

  Very Good. Embroidery full and bright with no significant losses, thinning or unraveling; the joins between the loom widths intact and flat. Ground cloth clean with only scattered faint specks and light overall toning; no notable stains observed. Edges plain hemmed, with slight puckering and waviness, and soft creasing and fold lines throughout. Unlined and unmounted.
