French Louis XVI style giltwood vitrine/ display cabinet, early 20th c., having shaped top, above conforming glazed case, with curved glass panels, fitted with single cabinet door, revealing two fixed-height glass shelves, central Vernis-Martin style painted figural courtship scene, flanked by verdant landscapes, rising on tapered legs, ending on arrow feet, approx 56.25"h, 26"w, 17"d
Condition
7.8.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3245- the structure is in sturdy condition, door opens smoothly and door/side panels and inner shelving all appear intact with no chips or cracks observed, top panel shows light wear, the gilt finish and decorated panels exhibit some flakes/small losses, particularly noted at the crown, there are some rubs, light spotting, finish wear, there is a minute/small trim loss at front lower right leg, the inner bottom shelf is fabric lined and shows spotting and stains, inner cord trim is loose in some areas, all mentioned commensurate with the use and age of the cabinet
