- Lot Description
Large giltwood parclose mirror, having scrolling frame interspersed with shallow shelves, each mounted with Chinese carved hardstone flowering tree in cloisonne pot, set with flat mirror plates, approx 57"h, 34"w, 60lbs
Condition
CR 8.19.25-In my opinion regarding LOT 3492: This item was received out of a private estate collection and additional provenance information was not given, upon review with my supervisor, we do not believe the mirror to be antique and likely originates in the late 20th century, I note that the mirror plates are securely encased within framing and free from observed fractures or loss, having only some very light spotting, the gilded finish of the frame is overall well-retained with some typical small flaked losses, mellowing, and rubs commensurate with age and use, the frame also with some small minor splits, all appear structurally secure and stable, the cloisonne planters remain securely mounted to shelving, which exhibit a sparse amount of minor chips to the enamel, the hardstone also with some minor chips and some scattered minor petal losses, this minor wear is typical and commensurate with age and use
