- Lot Description
Modernist metal wall-mounted display cabinet, 20th c., parcel-gilt and verdigris finish, inset beveled mirror plates, glazed cabinet door, lined interior, interior lighting in need of wiring, approx 41.5"h, 22"w, 9.5"d **Provenance: From a fine Monte Carlo, Monaco apartment** **Note: one of a pair of matching cabinets offered in this auction**
Condition
CR 6.9.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2017- the cabinet is currently on a table and due to is heavy weight I am unable to move it at this time, as described the case is in need of wiring, mirrored panels are intact and beveled, corner pieces do show some loss to silver with some spotting, however this is on each corner of both cabinets so may be how they were made (?), mirrors and glazed front door panel are intact with no noted chips or cracks, the interior is lined with padded fabric panels, I note only light spotting and a few very minor pulls to fabric, there are no divots or slats for shelves visible at this time, I am not aware of what is behind the fabric panels as they are affixed (glued?) to the cabinet, the overall finish shows only light wear, small nicks, tonal variation and light rubs, the bracket is in similar condition with light general wear, all mentioned commensurate with age and use, there is one key present
