- Lot Description
Carved serpentine sculpture of a reclining seal by Clivelon Totan. The stone is a mottled green with darker veining and a soft semi-polish finish. The sculpture is signed on the underside “C. Totan ‘Seal'” and dated “02.” Sculpture is in good condition with light surface wear and a small patch of white residue near the tail. Please see photos for additional details. About the Artist: Clivelon Totan (1979 - 2018) was an Inuit carver from Igloolik, Nunavut, known for soapstone inukshuks and animal figures, often signed in Roman and syllabics. Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
