Pair of early 20th century American railroad-grade pocket watches with chains. The first is an Illinois Watch Co, "A. Lincoln" 21 jewel open-face pocket watch, serial number 4158804, adjusted to 5 postions, featuring a gold-tone dial with sub-seconds blue steel hands. Housed in a gold-filled Wadsworth 25-year case. It includes a heavy gold-tone chain and engraved monogrammed back cover. The second watch is a Waltham Vanguard 23 jewel open-face pocket watch with bold Arabic numerals and sub-seconds dial. The case has a coin-edge bezel and includes a classic T-bar chain and an attached fraternal badge fob featuring a double claw, enamel inlay, and an eagle motif. Both watches are in good condition with light surface wear consistent with age. See photos for additional details. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Most items are eligible for in-house shipping. A separate shipping invoice will be sent within 5 business days of the auction close. Large, heavy, fragile, or high-value items will receive a UPS shipping quote. Buyers may request a list of recommended third-party shippers if preferred. All shipping costs are non-refundable.
Local pickup is available by appointment at our Ferndale, Michigan facility. Pickup or shipping must be scheduled within 15 business days of the invoice date to avoid storage fees.
